The Golden Roof (1420), a Gothic balcony covered with gold plated copper tiles; the 56 meter high city tower (14th century); the Summer Palace (15th and 18th century) with its so-called giants room with ceiling paintings; the Court Church (1553-1563) with the Renaissance tomb of Emperor Maximilian; Ambras Castle, which was altered and extended in Renaissance style by Friedrich II from 1564 until 1595. Innsbruck is also famous for its alpine zoo and botanical gardens.
