					<description><![CDATA[<p>Temporary Exhibitions. Publications: annual report: brochure; exhibition catalogues: guide; newsletter, &#8220;News &#038; Notes” (quarterly). The Oriental Institute Museum is a showcase of the history, art. and archaeology of the ancient Near East. The Museum exhibits a major collection of antiquities from ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Syria/Palestine, Persia, and Anatolia. (Portions of the Museum are currently closed for renovation, climate control, and expansion. In the meantime, the gift shop and blogstore remain open, and the Education Office continues to offer a variety of programs. Plans call for the reopening of galleries as work on them is completed. The Ei ptian Gallery reopened </p>
