There, encased in glass, was an early nineteenth-century vampire hunting kit. Not a toy or make-believe set, but an actual kit. There was a time in the nineteenth century when people, particularly the wealthy, became obsessed with the fear of actual vampires. As we continued the tour, we wondered if any of the paranormal activity might be attached to some of the antiques in the shop.
