					<description><![CDATA[<p>The Grasshopper was invented by Philibert Guichet, the owner of Tujague&#8217;s Restaurant and Bar. In the early twentieth century, Mr. Guichet entered a cocktail contest in New York and took home second place for this mixture of creme de menthe, creme de cacao, and cream. Tujague&#8217;s serves the drink today with a twist on the original recipe: Bartenders add a brandy float on top to cut through all of that sweetness. It&#8217;s a drink that has remained popular among New Orleanians, many of whom have dined at Tujague&#8217;s with family through the years and even drank Grasshoppers as children. (Yes, </p>
