It includes the Waimanu and Waipio Valleys, at the base of the Kohala Mountainswith small gullies, wetlands, beaches, several streams, and some waterfalls. Portions of the reserve are forested, and there are groves of fruit trees. Activities: A single trail is available for hiking or backpacking: the 7-mile Muliwai Trail, which runs between Waipio and Waimanu Valleys. The trail is steep and rocky in places, and isn’t well-maintained. Seasonal hunting is permitted in the area. Camping Regulations: There’s one shelter about
