Rembrandt Bugatti was the younger brother of Ettore Bugatti, who founded the eponymous automobile manufacturer in 1909. Rembrandt made his mark as an animal sculptor and spent a great deal of time at the Antwerp Zoo studying the movement of animals. Indeed, the radiator cap on the Bugatti Royale automobile was cast from one of his elephant sculptures.
