					<description><![CDATA[<p>CARIBOU NATIONAL FOREST Caribou National Forest is comprised of a number of separate tracts in the southeast corner of Idaho, with small sections in Utah and Wyoming. Much of the terrain here is mountainous, with elevations ranging from 5,000 feet to over 9,000 feet. Highest point is 9,953-foot Meade Peak. There are sagebrush slopes, canyons and ice caves, meadows, forests of Douglas fir and lodgepole pine, rivers and streams. Elk, moose, and deer are among the wildlife. 					<description><![CDATA[<p>CRATERS OF THE MOON NATIONAL MONUMENT Located in south-central Idaho, this National Monument preserves a somewhat desolate, moonlike volcanic landscape, with lava flows, craters, cinder cones, and tubes (caves). The 43,243-acre Craters of the Moon Wilderness comprises the southern part of the park. Wildlife includes mule deer, bobcat, and fox. Activities: There are about 15 miles of trails for hiking and backpacking. Most trails are short. One may walk elsewhere, but cross-country travel is very difficult on some kinds of lava. A park road which forms a loop is used for cross-country skiing in winter. Hunting is prohibited. Camping Regulations: </p>
