					<description><![CDATA[<p>Wyoming Travel THUNDER BASIN NATIONAL GRASSLAND 572,000 acres. Thunder Basin National Grassland is located in northeast Wyoming, in the Powder River Basin between the Black Hills and the Bighorn Mountains. This is an area of open rolling prairie and plateau, with some steep slopes, ridges, and knobs. Most of the lands are open to livestock grazing. There are several rivers and some intermittent streams. In addition to grasses, vegetation includes sagebrush and some pine and juniper. Among the wildlife are white-tailed and mule deer, antelope, elk, mountain lion, coyote, and fox. Activities: Hiking, backpacking, and horseback riding are possible throughout </p>
