Included here are the Neches and Angelina Rivers, along with some creeks. There are areas of piney woods forested with longleaf pine and bald cypress, with magnolia and dogwood, and two designated wilderness areas: the 12,650-acre Upland Island Wilderness, and the 5,286-acre Turkey Hill Wilderness. Activities: Canoeing is available on the Neches and Angelina Rivers. Horseback riding is allowed. Hiking and backpacking are mainly limited to short trails. Longest is the 5.5-mile Sawmill
