It includes a number of loops, and a portion of the trail has National Recreation Trail status. The trail leads through forests of hardwoods and pine, and crosses a number of creeks, with some deep ravines. Most of the terrain here is nearly flat, so it makes for easy backpacking. Camping Regulations: Designated campsites are available in some locations along the trail. Camping is allowed elsewhere as well, as are campfires, except where posted
