					<description><![CDATA[<p>Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory, Idaho Falls Since its founding in 1949, 52 nuclear reactors the largest concentration of nuclear reactors in the world have been operated here. Currently, there are three reactors in operation and research is being conducted into the next generation of nuclear reactors. 					<description><![CDATA[<p>Of all the Indian tribes encountered by settlers of the frontier, none earned more respect and admiration than the Nez Perce of Idaho, eastern Oregon and Washington, and western Montana. They helped Lewis and Clark cross the Bitterroot Range during a bitter winter, perhaps saving the expedition. They were as receptive to the white man&#8217;s ways as any tribe. Many became Christians and changed their names to reflect their conversion. Yet their cooperative and peaceful ways didn&#8217;t prevent the Nez Perce from suffering the same shameful fate as the rest of their brethren in the late 1800s banishment to reservations </p>

					<description><![CDATA[<p>SAWTOOTH NATIONAL FOREST This National Forest consists of several units in the south-central part of the state. Located here are some of Idaho&#8217;s most notable mountain ranges, including the Sawtooth, White Cloud, and Boulder Mountains. There are 40 peaks over 10,000 feet, with 12,009-foot Hyndman Peak the highest. More than half of the National Forest (754,000 acres) has been designated the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, which preserves some of the finest scenery.
