This game reserve is named after one of the tribes of Kenya remaining, the Masai Mara people. A Kenyan tribe of semi nomadic people divided into sub tribes who share the land and live according to their old culture and traditions. Now days the Masai Mara have a population of around 900,000 people and are traditionally goat and cattle herders, which is almost entirely their whole economy.
