Alington Metro Map To Charlotte VERIZON WIRELESS AMPHITHEATER 707 Pavilion Blvd., 704/549-1292 Overview Map Until the Uptown Amphitheater opened at the North Carolina Music Factory in 2009, the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater was the only all-outdoor concert venue in Charlotte. It opened in 1991 to host major musical acts, and has stadium seats and general admission lawn seating. The amphitheater got its 15 minutes of fame when Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran took the stage in 2005 and referred to the city as Charlotte, Virginia. NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGES IN Washington There are 16 National Wildlife Refuges in Alaska, all but two of which are over 1,000,000 acres in size. Most I of the refuges are accessible only by charter plane I or boat. Some receive extremely few visitors. The two largest are the gigantic 19,624,458-acre Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge and the 19,049,236-acre Arctic National Wildlife Ref-ugethe latter having an 8,000,000-acre designated wilderness area. Wildlife includes caribou, grizzly and polar bear, musk ox, moose, Dali I sheep, wolverine, wolf, and walrus.
