Cheapo Records Boston US Map & Phone & Address 645 Massachusetts Ave Cambridge; (617) 354-4455 Well, this has to be Mine’s favorite, just from the name alone. Fortunately, there’s more to recommend it than that. Cheapo has a huge collection of records and tapes, along with CDs. This long, narrow store, crammed from floor to ceiling on two levels, is a bit tough on claustro-phobics but the music sure makes it worthwhile, especially downstairs. Here you’ll find secondhand LPs and tapes from $1.99 to $5.99, with CDs around $7.99. A special rack of CDs under $5 boasts a wide selection.
