Visit to Wyoming MAJOR BACKPACKING TRAILS CONTINENTAL DIVIDE TRAIL When completed, this important National Scenic Trail will extend over 3,000 miles from Canada to Mexico. The trail follows near or next to the Continental Divide, and occasionally runs directly along the crest. It generally remains at high elevations, of course, and scenery along the way is often magnificent.
