					<description><![CDATA[<p>The Dallas Arts District (www.thedallasartsdistrict.org) is recognized as the first city-sponsored cultural district in the United States. In 1978, Boston consultants Carr-Lynch recommended that Dallas relocate its major arts institutions from different parts of the city to the northeast corner of downtown, a location that would allow for easy access. It was envisioned that the area would become a lively mix of cultural and commercial destinations, further defined by a mix of contemporary and historic architecture. The cultural build-out was completed in 2013 and the district is now home to the Dallas Museum of Art, the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony </p>
