The highest peak is 10,717-foot Mount Graham, with many other mountains over 9,000 feet. Terrain here is often rugged, with canyons and cliffs, rocky outcroppings and pinnacles. Coronado also has some lakes, streams, and forests of spruce, pine, and fir. Among the wildlife are deer, pronghorn, black bear, bighorn sheep, mountain lion, and bobcat. There are eight designated wilderness areas: the 87,700-acre Chiricahua Wilderness, the 76,000-acre Galiuro Wilderness, the 57,000-acre Pusch Ridge Wilderness, the 38,600-acre Rincon Mountain
