Formed by the merger in 1996 of two institutions, the Museum of Art and History presents ten to twelve exhibitions annually, along with correlated education programs for both adults and children. The Museum’s permanent collection includes works of art and regional historical artifacts. There is a special emphasis on education for all ages. In addition to the four galleries located at the McPherson Center, the Museum owns and maintains two historical sites, Evergreen Cemetery and the Davenport Jail.
