Sligo Town, the commercial center, is an excellent base from which to explore Yeats’s haunts. The well-preserved 13th-century Sligo Abbey is on Abbey St. (Open Apr.-Oct. daily 10am-6pm; Nov.-Mar. reduced hours. ‚1.90, students ‚0.70.)
