There’s one designated wilderness area, the 9,946-acre Indian Mounds Wilderness. Throughout the forest are many creeks, with several developed recreation areas located alongside the reservoir. Activities: Only a few short hiking and nature trails are found here, although backpacking is allowed anywhere in the National Forest. Hunting and fishing are permitted in season. Camping Regulations: Camping and campfires are allowed throughout the region, except near public use areas or where otherwise prohibited. No permits
