The Cambridge Center for Adult Education offers classes on every conceivable topic, from architecture to yoga. But you don’t have to take a class to benefit from the educational riches here. First CCAE sponsors lectures on a range of seemingly endless topics. Hear world travelers recount their experiences in remote lands. Learn about meditation, the psychology of relationships, and even how to bargain hunt in major outlets! Admission to most lectures is $2, and $1 for seniors.
Among its many music programs, the Music for a Thursday Evening series offers classical, folk, and jazz concerts each Thursday at 8 pm. during the spring and fall. These feature local artists in ensembles and solo. Tickets are $5 at the door or in advance. There’s also theater, with tickets usually $10 to $12.
Finally, the Blacksmith House Poetry Series features poetry and prose readings by local writers. These take place on Monday evenings at 8:15 P.M.; admission is $3, and $2 for seniors and students. For more information about all Cambridge Center events and classes, call for a copy of the catalog.
