Abe Veneto, Plantage Kerklaan 2 (639 23 64). This homey Italian eatery has food and prices to make any traveler happy. A dizzying selection of freshly made pizzas (‚4.50-9.50), pastas (‚6.50-9.50), and salads (most under ‚5). Wine by the bottle or the carafe (half carafe ‚6.50). Takeout available. King Solomon Restaurant, Waterloopl. 239 (625 58 60). Run by a hospitable Orthodox family, this is the only kosher restaurant in sight of the old Jewish quarter.
