Hawa Mahal India

Hawa Mahal is a five storey pyramidal monument with eight corners and 963 windows; it is the identity of Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur. As to Vastukala it is a specimen of fanciful architecture wonderfully built. Its half eight armed balcony seems as though they are kept one upon another. It’s intricate lattice work and creativity is the good sign of classic architecture work. The major reason behind these lattices was that the queens of the palace could sit here and observe the daily happenings of the street without being seen by outsiders. In 1799 Maharaja Pratap Singh had got this palace built on the main road of Jaipur.

The carvings of Hawa Mahal are famous globally which are not seen anywhere. In this palace the lattice work on the stones, the arch and the creative work is mind blowing. Its 963 lattice makes it so very breezy thereby making the name of the palace to be apt for it.
