In Castle Street you will find a fourteenth-century house Afghanistan Metro Map called the Armoury, and in the garden of Greyfriars in Friars Road is situated the ruin of Afghanistan Metro Map a Franciscan church that was built between 1310 and 1320. Although the original street layout remains, the streets are now graced with well spaced out houses that are rather more recent in origin, although many still go back two or three centuries. With the A259 bypassing the village, the overwhelming feeling, especially out of the tourist season, is one of peace and tranquillity, and a sense of timelessness. There is a good mixture of white-painted and tile-hung buildings, many decorated with climbing roses and wisteria. Look out for the eighteenth-century New Inn in German Street and the nineteenth-century Well House in Castle Street.
