There are literally hundreds of accommodation choices in and around Pattaya. Two major chains, Marriott Hotels and The Hard Rock Hotel are here along with the big Thai Group, Dusit Thani Resort. If you plan on visiting Bangkok on your trip, consider the Dynasty Inn. They have nice hotels in both cities and a free shuttle for travel from one to the other. Nice rooms, nice pool, S25 a night including breakfast. Situated in the heart of Pattaya and within short walking distance of Pattaya beach, shopping complex and other entertainment attractions. The hotel can be accessed from both Beach Road and Pattaya 2nd Road.
Make sure you check out the room in advance. Make sure the AC works without a noisy fan, check shower hot water, street noise, cable box working, inquire about guests and a safe. If the room is no good, ask to see another. If they so no guests, say your girlfriend is coming in tomorrow and you want a double.

As a general rule you can get a clean room in a good area with air conditioning for around 1000 baht ($25). The 5 star hotels are less guest friendly and have rooms starting from around 2500 baht. If on a budget, small clean rooms can be had for as little as 195B.
