If you prefer the markets over shopping malls, you shouldn’t miss visiting the Chatuchak Weekend market, which is the biggest night market in all of Asia, wow!

Bangkok is also a major transportation hub where you can find buses and flights to almost every major destination around the world, particularly in Asia.

You can come here for a weekend, week or month and yet you will not be tired of all the things you can do here.

You can also make daytrips to places such as Ayutthaya, which is pretty cool and used to be the capital of old Thailand before the Burmese attacked them.

When it comes to food, it will be a great mix of both international and Thai food. You shouldn’t miss out trying the soups of Thailand, Green Papaya Salad, Pad Thai and of course the iconic Thai pancakes.
If you’re a backpacker or just want to hangout with other tourists, you should go to Khao San Road, which is something of the backpacker mecca of Southeast Asia. Here you will find all traditional shopping a backpacker might do as well as countless of bars serving cheap beer.

If you want to try something exotic, you can opt for scorpions, bugs or even spiders and worms!
