Privilege, Venue, and Prime, all along Poseidonos, are perfect places to enjoy the breezy night air. (Dress well; no shorts. Drinks ‚4-10. Cover ‚10-15.) Take the A3 or the B3 bus from Vas. Amalias to Glyfada (‚0.75), and then catch a cab from there to your club. Taxis to Glyfada run about ‚8, but the return trip typically costs more.

Boite Esperides, Tholou 6, at the end of Mnisskleous. Young bouzouki players and honey-voiced Greek girls sing about love and the moon. Ouzo ‚7.50. Cover ‚7.50. Open Su and Tu-Sa 10pm-4am.

Bee, at the corner of Miaoli and Themidos, off Ermou; a few blocks from the heart of Psiri in Monastiraki. DJs spin while the friendly staff keeps the booze flowing. Drinks ‚3-9. Open Su and Tu-Th noon-3am, F-Sa noon-6am.

The Daily, Xenokratous 47. Kolonaki’s chic student population converges here to imbibe, listen to Latin and reggae, and watch sports on TV. Fabulous outdoor seating and open-air bar. Drinks ‚3-6. Open daily 9am-2am.

Wired, Valtetsiou 61, in Exharia. The red parachute on the ceiling and thorn bushes painted on the walls give this rock bar an eerie feel. Varied musical genres each get a turn on the schedule. Drinks ‚3-5.50. Open Su-Th llam-lam, F-Sa llam-3am.

Mo Better, Koleti 32, offThemistokleous, in Exharia. In fall, winter, or.spring, find the tall blue wooden door-it’s the entrance to the most popular rock bar in Athens. A staple in the nocturnal schedule of alternative Panepistimio (university) students. Whiskey, vodka tonic ‚6. Open Oct.-June Su-Th 10pm-4am, F-Sa lOpm-dawn.
