Wendi was working in a back office when Doug, manager of the dance troupe, came in from the stage area. He asked if the theater was haunted. When Wendi asked why, he told her he had just seen a ghost.

Doug explained to her he was alone on stage and heard footsteps. When he turned around, no one was there. Thinking it was his imagination, he went back to the table on stage to pick up his bag. Again hearing footsteps he looked back. This time, to his shock and surprise, Doug saw the vision of a man, his face and shoulders clear. According to Doug, this person was wearing work clothes, including heavy boots. The two shared a silent stare then the eerie vision turned and vanished as it walked toward the back corridor.

Melanie, Matt, Bev and I were intrigued by these stories and eager to begin the investigation. Equipment setup began. Night vision cameras were positioned in the lower balcony and stage. Additional video was placed in the back corridor behind the stage. This is the section of the theater where talent stays before and during the performance.

As usual, the knowledgeable and well-organized Mid Michigan team had things setup and ready to go in less than an hour. It was time to go dark.
