Info: Horses and motorized vehicles are not allowed on trails.

This 121-hectare day-use area set in an aspen forest is an ideal family destination. The terrain around the sandy beach forms natural barriers that are handy for parents who need to keep young children in sight. A playground on the beach, picnic tables, firepits, boat launch, and pier make this a pleasant place to enjoy a picnic. Trout fishing is popular here, and boaters with small craft are welcome, providing they travel slower than 12 kilometres per hour. A small island in the lake is typically covered in birds, including pelicans, gulls, sandpipers, and other shorebirds.

When hiking the easy three-kilometre loop, note the elaborate beaver runs and watch for wildflowers such as Western Canada violet, lily of the valley, fairybells, and sarsaparilla. Children catching minnows may net a three-spined stickleback, a fish illegally introduced into Hasse Lake in the late 1970s.

The park is a pleasant place to visit in the winter. Ice fishing is popular, and the trail is groomed for cross-country skiing.
