When Mine visited this small shop, it was hopping with bargain-hungry Cantabridgians. And it’s no wonder: Although every item here is secondhand, the shop’s tony location means you may find fancy items like the set of six crystal bowls for just $25 that caught Mine’s eye. You’ll also see some famous labels in the clothing racks, like an Ann Taylor linen blouse for $6, or a Bill Blass silk dress for $15. Good quality men’s blazers may be as little as $8; a two-piece wool suit was $12. Of course, you can also find thrifty buys on basic clothing. There is a table of kids’ clothes, like $1 Batman tank tops. Shoes (mostly women’s) line the shop’s perimeter; a pair of Nine West patent leather heels was $5. Books and records, too.
A pricing committee meets every Monday to weed out anything that isn’t clean and in good repair. All proceeds from the shop benefit the church. Open from late September to mid-June only; Tuesdays through Thursdays 10 AM. to 4 P.M. and from 10 a.m. to 3 P.M. the first Saturday of the month.
