Among the many fine crafts in this beautiful Harvard Square shop are cases of wearable art rings, pins, earrings, necklaces, and other unique jewelry. Each display is by a different artist (some 200 in all), complete with a description of his or her technique. The member artists also run the store, which helps keep costs down.
Sure, you can buy jewelry for less, but these prices are excellent for such high quality and the fact that no one else will ever have a piece that looks exactly like yours. Perhaps you’ll pick a pair of brightly colored ceramic fish earrings for $15, graceful sterling silver rings for $35, or large, hammered bronze earrings for $24.
Not to mention wild ceramic housewares, clocks, prints, hand-painted silk ties, and more. The collections are ever-changing, and are just plain fun to browse; there are two floors’ worth, plus a third level with a free gallery, which hosts shows about four times a year. The co-op is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays until 8, and Sundays from 12-5.
