CENTURY SEAVIEW COUNTRY CLUB SHENZHEN
This is golf in beautiful surroundings at Nan’ao on the Dapeng Peninsula. It’s about an hour out of town by car and as its name suggests is set among mountains with expansive views of Mirs Bay.
It’s an 18-hole PGA golf course designed by Nelson Howarth. It’s challenging with lots of traps and lakes to cross. There’s a good pro store with most of the things you could possibly need.
The clubhouse has beautiful sea views and all the things Chinese golfers expect after a game. It also has rooms including suites with kitchen facilities.

EPILOGUE
During visits to other Chinese cities, our thoughts always go back to the cheerful, optimistic, plain-speaking people of Shenzhen. Beijing has history stretching back centuries but Beijing people are often hardened negotiators looking for the main chance, they tend to be conscious of even slightly cowed by politics. Shanghainese may be more sophisticated but they can also be quick to let you know that they’re better than you. Where is the friendly curiousity and optimism of the Shenzhener?
Shenzheners are united by the fact that they’re all from somewhere else. They will be happy to tell you at length about the virtues and sights of their old home town. But once they’ve arrived in Shenzhen, they’re Shenzheners. They marvel at what is happening around them and what they are making happen. They know that the city offers them a better life.
It is the people of Shenzhen who make visiting the city a unique experience.
