455 Oak St, Brockton; (508) 588-6000
Brockton may not be the first place some people think of for the arts, but the Fuller Museum proves that stereotype wrong. The permanent collection is filled with wonderful examples of American arts and crafts, including many works by New England artists. Special exhibits, generally six to eight each year, feature pieces on loan from other museums.
The mission is to make art accessible to the community. To this end, the Fuller Museum sponsors special programs like music, theater, lectures, and literary events. Art classes, for all ages, are also available. FMA is open Tuesdays through Sundays noon to 5 P.M.; admission is by donation.
