Tonsai East can be considered the beach area past the gloriously named Chukit Resort leading to Long Beach. While not as busy as Tonsai Village it still has shopping opportunities (but scarcer and scarcer the nearer to Long Beach you get) and several large eateries that host nightly entertainment.
Tonsai Village
Tonsai Village is the bustling heart of Phi Phi; there are no cars or roads, only footpaths. It’s located on the isthmus, for which Phi Phi is famous, with Tonsai Bay on the south side and Loh Dalum on the north.
Tonsai West
Tonsai West is the quieter, more contemplative sister of brash and bold Tonsai East and the village itself. If you pass the pier and keep walking past the hospital and towards the limestone hills you’ll notice that things get a lot quieter and peaceful in this section of the island.
