The OMA is dedicated to collecting, preserving and interpreting notable works of art. It exhibits items drawn from its permanent collections and presents a diverse schedule of temporary exhibitions, which are curated by OMA and/or obtained from national and international museums and private collections Holdings include important collections of 19th- and 20th-century American, pre-Columbian, and African art. The American Collection contains over 675 works, including paintings by John Chamberlain. April Gornik, Childe Hassam, George Inness, Morris Louis, Thomas Moran, Georgia OKeeffe, Jules Olitski, -John Singer Sargent, and Charles Sheeler; sculpture by Malcolm Morlev; and graphics by Katherine Bowling. John Hammond, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, and And\ Warhol. The Pre-Columbian Collection contains over 500 artifacts of pottery, jade, stone, textiles, gold, and silver from over 30 different cultural groups. The African Collection contains over 70 ceremonial and utilitarian artifacts mainly from West African cultures.

Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens
Located in a botanical garden featuring native flora, the Museum was initiated by the gift of 56 paintings by the artist Malcolm Fraser to the City of Ormond Beach. In addition to displaying Frasers work, the Museum presents a schedule of temporary art exhibitions.
