Aberdeen Country Park
Like Tai Tam Country Park, Aberdeen Country Park is also located at southern area with vast reservoirs. They are upper reservoir and lower reservoir. A clean BBQ Area is prepared near lower reservoir in the park and the other one at upper reservoir. For BBQ at lower reservoir, your pack would much lighter than the journey to Tai Tam Country Park because there is a shop for charcoal at the BBQ area of the park. It’s which can be translated as “Tea Water Pavilion” in English. You will meet many joggers and strollers together with Hong Kongers who are enjoying BBQ at Aberdeen Country Park.

There is no Wellcome store near Aberdeen Country Park. Therefore, you have to prepare BBQ items except charcoal from one of Wellcome superstores near your departure. Needless to say, you may use a Wellcome shop near MTR North Point Station or Quarry Bay Station introduced for the beach at “Deep Water Bay”. In consideration of distance and convenience to reach, the Wellcome store situated around 100 meters away from exit B of MTR North Point Station would be the best one.
For your way to “ Central Piers Bus Terminus ” to catch a bus no. 7 bound for Aberdeen, here explains again the Wellcome superstore “Central” near MTR Central Station which was introduced for “Hung Shing Yeh beach” at Lamma Island.
For the Wellcoem store “Central”, come out of exit C of Hong Kong Station which is linked with MTR Central Station through basement. And go roughly 300 meters to the right along Des-Veaux Road Central until Ling Kee Bookstore which is next to Far East Consortium Building.You will find a Wllcome superstore at the basement of Ling Kee Bookstore. You will also find a Mcdonald ’ s and a Deli France near the Wellcome superstore. If you use “ Central ” store, you have to come back to MTR Central Station exit A. Red arrows on the map show your way from MTR Central Station exit A to “ Central Piers Bus Terminus ” .

Aberdeen Country Park.
The way to the bus terminus at Central Piers is the same as that for “Hung Shing Yeh beach” at Lamma Island. Here shortly explains again the way from MTR Central Station exit A to the bus terminus.
MTR Central station is located at the most bustling downtown of Central at Hong Kong Island. It is linked with Hong Kong Station where the express train towards International Airport is starting. It takes roughly 20 or 30 minutes on foot from exit A of MTR Central Station to the bus terminus at Central Piers.
Come out of exit A of MTR Central Station and you will meet an escalator up to air walks on your right. Go around 20 meters straight from the end of the escalator and you will meet an air walk with signposts for “All Ferries”, “Central Ferry Piers” and “Bus Terminus”. Take the left way as indicated by the signboards. Then, you come to walk the direction indicated by red arrows on the map above. Go to the end of the air walk and you will meet the other blue bridge on your right. At the spot, you will see a signpost for IFC (International Finance Centre) on your left.
When you walk on the blue bridge, you will see an Apple Shop at IFC on your left and a giant Ferris Wheel on your right. Near the end of the blue bridge, you will look down on “Central Piers Bus Terminus” on your left.
At the end of the blue bridge, take steps on your left down to Central Piers and you will meet the bus terminus on your left. Now, let’s take a look at the way from exit A of MTR Central Station to the bus terminus at Central Piers.
Way to return
There is no bus stop for return on the opposite side of the bus stop of “Hoy Au Lau, Yue Kwong Chuen” where you’ve alighted from a bus for Aberdeen Country Park. Therefore, you have to go to Shek Pai Wan Bus Terminus, the destination of the bus no. 7, which is around 400 meters away from Aberdeen Country Park. If you walk down a little more than Shek Pai Wan, you will meet many buses towards downtown.
Go straight down to the bus stop of “Pak Sah Lau” along Aberdeen Reservoir Road as indicated by the first red arrow on the map. And take the way to the left as indicated by the second red arrow. Then, you will meet Shek Pai Wan Bus Terminus on your left. Shek Pai Wan is shown by a red flag on the map. Now, let’s take a look at the way from Aberdeen Country Park to Shek Pai Wan Bus Terminus along Aberdeen Reservoir Road.
As indicated by the yellow arrow, you are going down to the bus stop of “Pak Sha Lau” along Aberdeen Reservoir Road. This road will turn to the left.
