Hikers, along with mountain and road bikers, can get their fill on 400 miles of public, picturesque trails. We love Deer Valley’s trails, which you arrive at via ski lift! You can also tour the mountains on horseback, by climbing them, or if you’ve got the guts, by hot air balloon. Golfers can tee up till they tire at one of the 13 scenic courses and the tennis- obsessed can play at the city’s public or private courts. At Jordanelle Reservoir, water-sport junkies can go sailing, paddleboarding, wakeboarding, water skiing or rent a private boat. Thrill-seekers flock to Utah Olympic Park for Wheeled.

Bobsled Rides, where you can dart down the Olympic track at 70 m.p.h.

After a day of adrenaline-pumping workouts, relax with a muscle-melting treatment at one of the town’s numerous spas. We hit up Spa Montage Deer Valley for the Alpine Body Bliss rub-down and a private Pilates session—in other words, heaven! Or get some retail therapy by shopping the charming Historical Main Street, with plenty of boutique shops and galleries alike.

In August, check out the Kimball Arts Festival, one of the largest in the West, featuring local artists and designers and performances. On summer Sundays, the Park Silly Sunday Market brings a farmers’ market, live music, a beer garden and more. Dining abounds—more than 100 restaurants—so you won’t have any trouble finding fare that fits into your diet. For more information, visit www.visitparkcity.com.

The ziplining! There are three options: The Ziprider at Park City Mountain Resort, where you’re suspended 110 feet off the ground and go as fast as 45 mph; The Utah Olympic Park Xtreme Zipline, the world’s steepest; and a more mellow version at Canyons Resort. No matter which you choose, remember this: The more you engage your core and focus on proper alignment, the better the view and the more speed you’ll get.
