Exotic Cruise Getaways

Good afternoon everyone, Paula Keung with Travel Savvy TV here. There are a few new cruising options setting sail that you’ll want to consider, so stay tuned for news from Disney and Carnival. Known for its pink sand beaches and year-round warm weather, Bermuda will now be welcoming Mickey and Minnie Mouse as its next visitors. Disney Cruise Lines Disney Magic Ship will be sailing from New York City to Bermuda starting this coming October on five and six night excursions. This cruise brings together that lifelong Disney Cruise vacationer with new young travelers looking to explore everything Bermuda has to offer. These special Disney cruises will offer every level of activity for every age group ranging from water rides and performances for the kids, to adults only nightclubs and on-deck dance parties. Disney also announced their newest European adventure which sets sail next year.

A first-ever round-trip cruise from Rome that takes you through Italy, France, and Spain. The eight night cruise will set sail on June 14th 2019. Since you’ll be in one of our favorite cities, be sure to schedule a few extra days after you return to get a full dose of Rome’s rich history. Take time to explore the Colosseum and the Vatican, people watch at the Spanish Steps, and of course eat everything in sight. And stop for dessert at Gelateria I Caruso, which is one of our favorite places to indulge in a scoop of dark, rich, chocolate gelato. Another cruise ship currently in Europe that’s bound for great things is Carnival’s newest vessel, The Horizon. This new ship is completing its maiden voyages out of Barcelona and then will head for port in New York City and later this year will head to its home port of Miami. Our favorite thing about this new ship is their Cat in the Hat Dr. Seuss themed on board water park. Kids will love all the fun water slides decorated with the signature red and white stripes, and of course, Thing 1 and Thing 2.

The themed program, Seuss At Sea, also offers lots of other stuff to keep your young cruiser happy, like interactive story time, a Seuss themed character parade, and green eggs and ham breakfast. This new ship will also have Carnival’s signature SkyRide on the top deck with ocean views and an IMAX Theater. That’s it for today, folks!
