A 1921 map of Louisville, Kentucky, produced by William Bridges Hunter, is the most detailed early city map of the region. It far exceeds the earliest atlases of the city, and rivals the 1906 Mendenhall map in detail. This map includes photographic views and a brief description of the disaster. It also includes the location of the Standard Publishing Company’s headquarters, near Market and 1st Streets. Although it is no longer in print, this map is a treasure trove of information about the city.

The population of Louisville is composed of a mix of white, black, and Asian individuals. One in three Louisvillians belongs to the Southern Baptist denomination, which has 147 local congregations. The population of people who practiced the Southern Baptist denomination increased rapidly during the 20th century when a large number of immigrant families came to Louisville to work in factories.
