The sleek Prime Contemporary Grill offers more sophisticated dining, while you can indulge in modern Indian flavours at The Indian Pavilion -ask about dining options for special occasions, to enjoy dinner at the water’s edge, sinking your toes into the soft sand under the table. If you’re after a celebratory cocktail, head to The Pool Bar to unwind.

You’ll find the story in sight far better than in any book you’ve brought to read.

EXPLORE OR UNWIND

As for activities, you’re spoilt for choice. Drop your children off at the KidsOnly club, which offers fantastic indoor and outdoor activities, while you head out to explore.

Hit the green at the nine-hole Gary Player golf course, with such incredible views, you’ll find it hard to concentrate on your next shot! Or sign up for the resort’s water sports – try water skiing, or channel your inner child with a thrilling tube ride behind a speedboat, instead. Boats leave the jetty throughout the day for snorkelling or, if you’d prefer, sail out on the glass-bottom

boat, and still get the best view of the vibrantly-coloured underwater life.

Soothe your mind and muscles after a day’s activities in the tranquil setting of the One&Only Spa. We recommend a treatment in the Garden Spa Pavilion, which is suspended over water and surrounded by lush greenery. Here, ask for the 90-minute Le Saint Geran Signature Ritual, where the therapist uses natural local ingredients, like coconut and honey, for your full-body scrub, and nourishing oils for your full-body massage. During your treatment, listen to the softly-chirping birds and trickling water, with the occasional splash of a koi. You’ll feel like you’re on cloud nine afterwards, and appreciate the richness in everything you lay your eyes on as you walk back to your room.

The views from every angle at this resort are spectacular. The story that lies in sight will be far better than the one in the book you’ve brought along for beach reading!

Such fears were born of experience. Britain had always left colonial defense up to the colonists themselves. Furthermore, the one war in which large numbers of British troops had been sent to defend colonists the Seven Years’ War, or French and Indian War, as it was known in the colonies had resulted in the expulsion of France from Canada. The events of recent past, then, contradicted parliamentary assertions. Seoul Map Tourist Attractions Colonists were convinced that such acts endangered their collective rights and liberties, and they argued this first through petitions and later through boycotts, street demonstrations, and armed rebellion. Initial colonial protests targeted specific Acts of Parliament, however, and in no way urged revolution. The Sugar Act (1764), the first revenue act passed by Parliament, targeted imports and toughened custom methods. Mainly because it threatened colonial merchants’ profits, the act initiated a flurry of petitions by the colonial gentry but no mass movement. The Stamp Act (1765) targeted items such as playing cards and marriage licenses likely to be used by nonelite Countrys and thereby widened the scope of protest to include ordinary people. Large numbers pledged to boycott British goods and support instead local manufactures. Extralegal groups such as the Sons of Liberty organized to enforce such pledges. Resistance soon moved into the streets, where people paraded, burned effigies, and attacked Customs houses.
