ImaginOn just might be the coolest library around. It was developed in partnership with the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County to offer traditional library services alongside educational exhibits and a high-tech learning center. Studio i invites kids to stretch their creative muscles to make animated and live-action videos using claymation, shadow puppet animation, and other video techniques. A state-of-the-art sound-recording booth lets the next generation of moviemakers and musicians create high-tech recordings that can be uploaded to the Internet or burned onto DVDs. The Charlotte Children’s Theatre is also housed at ImaginOn, offering classes for blossoming thespians and staging performances in the on-site theater.

ImaginOn is more than just a library; it’s a media wonderland.

Winemaker Alan Phillips focuses on continuing the Sanfords’ reputation for excellence St. Paul Map in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, as well as small quantities of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, St. Paul Map and Pinot Noir Vin Gris, a dry rose. At El JabaH, visitors can spot many species of birds and other wildlife. The long, gravel driveway winds through vineyards and sycamore groves, over a creek, up to the rustic tasting room a converted tin-roofed 1920s dairy barn fashioned from pine planks. A pine tasting bar and cabinetry, red Spanish tile floor, original art by the Sanfords’ friends, and bookcases filled with Richard’s extensive collection of books lend the comfortable feeling of a Mexican hacienda to the interior. Outdoors, visitors unwind on the shaded stone patio, surrounded by stone flower boxes, a courtyard fountain, and groves of redwood trees, in sight of picnic tables above the spring-fed creek. OF SPECIAL NOTE: Beautiful setting with creekside picnic area.
