Having moved recently to a new location (in the basement like our prices), Ski Warehouse sells new, discounted ski and tennis equipment; these are mainly closeouts and discontinued items, as much as 50% to even 70% off of retail prices. Thus, a tennis racquet that might have listed for $200 can be found here for $109 strung and ready to serve. Owner Hans Track tries to focus on a few good brands, rather than the selection of a department store; tennis names include Prince, Head, and Wilson.
All this, coupled with expert knowledge and a sense of humor, makes the store a find. In late summer, they usually hold a Practically Giving It Away ski equipment sale. Open weekdays from 12-8 P.M. Saturdays from 12-5; summer hours can be looser, so you may want to call ahead.
