However, the four of us in travelling the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Hawaii and the Panama Canal via San Diego, California, did as much as we could, adjusting our budget along the way to suit our changing choices, needs and wants.
When we docked in Columbia on our San Diego, Panama Canal, Miami trip, we decided not to tour the country. But, it was primarily, not because we could not fit it in our budget. Truthfully, we were on the scared side. For the same reason, we did not go to Panama City. We had been warned. Two definite, lasting regrets.
Regarding budgeting, one blogger opined, “I would rather have people travel on a tight budget than never leave the comforts of their homes.”
That is also my firm opinion. Travelling is the essence of living; plus, the world’s becoming an increasingly shrinking global village that’s like a tree full of exotic low-hanging fruit all waiting to be picked and admired, if not literally consumed.

We were all put on God’s good Earth to enjoy His creations; also those which happened over thousands and millions of years because of the forces at work of Mother Nature. So, we must employ, develop and satisfy all our senses. By so doing, we grow and develop as individuals; and, with increased learning and understanding, the world becomes a better place in which to live and across which to travel; and, experience the joy of so doing.
So, are you with me? Are you a budgeter? If so, you can find a way to stick in a travel. A 3-day cruise is a good way to begin. You might be lucky to live in a cruise port city; so, you can be dropped off at the terminal by a family member or friend; or, you can take a bus, train or taxi there for little or next to nothing.
