INKS LAKE STATE PARK MAP TEXAS
Stretching alongside 800-acre Inks Lake, in south-central Texas, this state park has some rock outcroppings, woodlands of oak and cedar, and wildlife which includes deer and armadillo.
Activities: Hiking and backpacking are possible on 7.5 miles of trails. Canoeing and fishing are available on the lake.
Camping Regulations: Campsites are located in a single area along one of the trails, about a mile from park headquarters. Camping is restricted to that area.

In addition, camping is allowed along the 14-mile Cross Timbers Hiking Trail on the shore of enormous Lake Texoma, which is on the Texas-Okla-homa border north of Dallas. The lands are administered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Camping and campfires are restricted to three designated primitive sites along the trail. A permit is required, and available in person or by writing to the Resident Engineer, Denison Dam-Lake Texoma, P.O. Box A, Denison, TX 75020.
