Boston Brandeis Bookstall US Map & Phone & Address
12 Sewall Ave. Brookline; (617) 731-0208
Down a flight of stairs behind the Harvard Street stores in Coolidge Comer, Brandeis Bookstall is a cozy little used bookshop whose proceeds are contributed to the Brandeis University libraries. In general, you’ll find most hardcover fiction around $1 to $3; paperback novels go from 500 to $2, with a large section at four for a buck. There are also art and travel books; individual sections of French, German, Spanish, Russian, and even Asian books; sheet music collections; lots of Judaica; and sections for senior citizens and children. Each month, one subject such as law books, or medicine goes on sale for just $1 per book, any title. And twice a year, everything goes into a half-price sale. Open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 am. to 5 P.M. Thursdays til 9.
