COLORADO STATE FOREST MAP COLORADO
Colorado State Forest is actually a state park which lies in the mountains northwest of Rocky Mountain National Park. It offers fine alpine scenery, and includes some lakes and streams.
Activities: Hiking and backpacking are possible on over 20 miles of trails. Horses are allowed on many trails. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are available during the snow season. Fishing is permitted along lakes and streams, as is hunting during the appropriate season.
Camping Regulations: Backcountry camping is allowed at designated sites here. A permit is required, and must be obtained from park headquarters. A fee is charged for camping each night.
