This cozy used bookstore in Inman Square sells books in such excellent condition that you could be forgiven for thinking they were new. Nearly perfect books are available at huge discounts, usually at half off the cover. Periodic sales may reduce prices even more on Mine’s visit, all fiction was an extra 25% off. And there are sale racks where books are always half off their regular discount prices.
Americana, Art History, Literature, and Psychology shelves are es- pecially strong. Mine found the Prentice Hall Guide to English Literature for $17.50, down from $35. There was a stack of computer guides like Microsoft Word Made Easy, for $8.50, from $18.95.
Don’t neglect the upstairs section, where most of the paperbacks are kept. Also upstairs is an entire room of books about women in religion, a specialty here.
When you’ve picked out some books, settle into one of the squishy sofas, relax, and read. This welcoming shop is open Mondays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 P.M.; Sundays from 12 noon to 5 PM.
