Located on the top floor of the Scheman Building, the Brunnier Art Museum has a permanent collection of decorative and fine arts spanning a variety of eras and artistic genres. The permanent collections are regularly on display in short- and long-term exhibits. Groupings of Oriental jades and snuff bottles, ceramics, Russian enamels, and ivory carvings often may be seen in rotating exhibitions. Additionally the Art on Campus Program continues a tradition of integrating buildings and art on the campus. Currently more than 200 major works of public art enhance Iowa States buildings and landscapes from Christian Petersen statues and library murals designed by Grant Wood to contemporary art such as the G-Nome Project incorporated into the design of the Molecular Biology Building. University Museums offers a self-guiding brochure and a monthly Wednesday Walk tour of the Art on Campus Collection.
