SHENZHEN THE MIXC AND KK 100
Some say that this is the poshest mall in Shenzhen. Its position directly opposite Shenzhen’s most prime office real estate, the Diwang Building supports this idea and it’s definitely the place to parade your wife or your mistresses on a Sunday afternoon.
This very large multi-storey mall has it all fashion, cosmetics, the largest cinema in Asia, an Olympic standard ice-rink and the Hong Kong-based pharmacy Watsons. For snacks, lunch or dinner you can eat at Pizza Hut, Ajisen Ramen the affordable Japanese noodle chain, Taco Bell Grande, Haagen-Dazs, Illey Coffee Shop and Starbucks.
Ole in the basement is Shenzhen’s top supermarket. It has a first-class range of Western products at high prices reflecting the fact they are imported.
On the other side of the Da Ju Yuan Metro station and connected to MixC by pedestrian underpasses is KK 100 under Shenzhen’s currently tallest building, the 100-storey KK 100. It’s not quite as big as MixC but everything that we’ve said about MixC applies to KK 100.
