Today is an art lover’s dream. We’re visiting two iconic galleries, the Uffizi and the Accademia. The Accademia is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Florence. And you see these long lines? We are not to wait in any of them because our tour has skipped the line pass. The David of Michelangelo done in the early fifteen hundreds by the greatest artist of Florence, Michelangelo was carved up by a single block of marble, sending the symbol of Florence, represents the Florentine freedom. Let’s go into the Gipsoteca, the room of plaster statues. So dramatic the art, it’s very emotional. I just saw the statue of David, in the flesh, blew my mind. Wow, isn’t that impressive.

And if you’d like to stop for a traditional Italian lunch, you have the option of adding that to your experience too. And so now skip the line into the Uffizi. Yay. Got my ticket. The Uffizi Gallery has so many famous paintings and sculptures, a lot of which you’ve probably heard of before. You’re about to see them in person. It’s a really extraordinary experience. So this is perhaps one of the most famous Botticelli paintings. This is the Birth of Venus which is my favorite one. This is the Ponte Vecchio, one of the oldest bridges in Florence and probably the most famous.
This is about my fourth time to Uffizi but I really enjoyed it. The artwork I witnessed today was awe-inspiring. I saw the statue of David. The Accademia and the Uffizi Gallery were extraordinary. This was a dream come true.
